Ireland

Ireland is located in Western Europe, in the North Atlantic Ocean, is the third largest island in Europe and twentieth in the world. It is separated from Great Britain by Saint George's Channel on the south-east, the Irish Sea on the east, and the North Channel on the north-east. Ireland covers an area of about 5000 square miles, with some beautiful mountains, like County Kerry which is 3400 feet high. Ireland is also known for its lush green countryside, lively people and beautiful places around the city. St Patrick’s Day is one of the major celebrations of Ireland.

Ireland has a vast history which will take us back to the 4 th century BC when the native Celts landed here. The British tried to capture Ireland, but they got success only during the 1800s, when Ireland combined with Britain and named as the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland.

Ireland is also associated with Dublin its Capital which is renowned as Tourist Paradise, Dublin is a city with both historic and modern touch, which is evident with the monuments and castles here. It showcases the ethnic Ireland.  The major religious bodies, of Ireland are the Roman Catholic Chruch, the Methodist Chruch in Ireland and the Presbyterian Chruch.

Ireland also has farmland with animals and plant species spread across the lush grassland, red fox, stoat, badger and hedgehog are common here, but some rare species like Irish hare and red deer can be spotted only in some zoos and parks.

The climate here is mild, but not constant round the year, rains are also heavy here in rainy season while its hotter in summer and chilling during winters.
